Why the Business Golf Country Club Is Still Growing

April 17, 2010 By mrbg

MBG-Club-Promo-fl One of my prized endeavors has been the Business Golf Country Club.  After almost three years the private online business/social networking club has continued to grow now to a Solid 650 real golfers.  Though that number seems low and many would scoff at it being irrelevant, at least I can validate that these are real people which other golf groups do not care to do.  Plus most people forget the BGCC is a Club…Not a Group.  One of the most exciting achievements of the BGCC has to do with Who has become a member of the BGCC.

Concept is Pure

I spent two years on a fulltime basis searching the internet to find someplace, anyplace, where the membership of the group were authentic golfers.  My log shows I have joined over 54 groups since 2003 all of which claimed to be set up as a group for golfers to join.  38 of those groups do not exist today or have become inactive.  None can validate all their members are true golfers, or seemingly care.

Purpose

What I found during my voyage across the vast ocean of uncertainty was golfers needed a purpose to come online.

I found from talking to hundreds of real golfers, offline and online, was they all were looking for a purpose to being online.  They also were looking for safety.  Most were looking for a place where whoever managed the site was visibility and/or accessible.  All want comfort knowing that everyone else in the gathering played golfer and there was there for the same purpose.

I took the basic want and need each golfer has and created the Business Golf Country Club.

Basic Wants/Needs

What are the wants and needs all golfers have?  Well, it has to do with Trust.  Golfers all have some common purposes in trusting that whoever they play golf with has integrity.  They also hold true to two major interests in Golf.  One is they all want to play golf and the other is they are all trying to find ways to afford to play golf.

There are always going to be an exception, but in this case it is the common everyday golfer, business person who plays golf and the professional golfers that the BGCC was created to serve.  So their wants and needs are what is addressed from within the Cub.

The BGCC is growing and the activity within the club may not be visible to those who drifted by to view the home page.  It is what goes on inside the BGCC that makes the BGCC the only online golf Club online.  Come join and find out for yourself.  I’ll greet you at the door and give you a tour if you like.

Let me know how I can help.
