Virtual Golf Ball Drop to Benefit the kids of the Foothills Community Foundation

Even if you can’t play in the 8th annual Partners for Kids Tournament on May 17, you can support SOS Scholarships and CCUSD’s Artist’s in Residency program by buying a “virtual” golf ball.    (Click Here to Buy Ball)

The very exciting virtual ball drop will take place at the conclusion of the tournament. Don’t worry, if you can’t make the event in person, you can watch the ball-drop via the internet scheduled for 6pm PST on May 17! The winner will receive $1000 in cash, along with the satisfaction that comes from supporting a worthy cause. Buy more than one ball and increase your satisfaction and your chance of winning.

You can also chip in for the kids by playing in the Partners for Kids tournament or joining us for an elegant after golf experience in a the hacienda-styled clubhouse at The Golf Club, Scottsdale.

Tee off at 11am on May 17, 2010 at one of Arizona’s Top Ten golf courses. Designed by golf purists for golf purists, The Golf Club Scottsdale is unencumbered by homes as it winds its way through saguaro forests. Golf prizes include trophies for the four flight and putting contest winners, and a chance to win a Lincoln with a hole in one.

Visit the FCF website for tournament and after golf experience information.

Virtual Ball Drop Program

What Is A Virtual Ball Drop?

The Virtual Ball Drop™ is a new, dynamic fundraising event that helps benefit different charities around the country. Compassionate donors are asked to support their favorite charities by purchasing virtual golf balls in the amount of $20 each. For each purchase, the donor receives a number corresponding to a golf ball and the chance to win cash or a major, sponsored prize!

On the day of the drop, the numbered golf balls will be loaded into our Virtual Helicopter and donors will be able to watch the event live via web link. Hovering over a green at the Tee Time Club in Scottsdale, AZ, our Virtual Helicopter will drop all the balls onto the target green in one thunderous waterfall. The randomly selected ball that is resting at the bottom of the hole will be our grand-prize winner! Each subsequent ball will win a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place prize.

Bighearted donors, like you, can be part of these momentous events, have a chance to win fabulous prizes, and play a part in helping numerous charities raise hundreds of thousands of dollars!
