How Does Business Golf and Social Media Mix?

March 23, 2010 By mrbg

Egg Mixer That depends on how serious you are about both.   It is real hard to mix anything together if one or all of the things being mixed are not understood.

For example, how would you mix cooking and gardening? If you do not cook or know how to garden you would not have a clue on how to do this or, more obvious, would not care to mix them even thought the benefits of mixing them are very productive. However,  if you did cook and garden then mixing the two could be done in a number of ways.  You could prepare a meal with something grown in the garden.  Or have a meal in the garden surrounded my a self rewarding atmosphere.

There are many examples of how to different operations mix…the same goes for business golf and social media.

Business Golf

The mix of golf and social media would naturally produce a round of golf..or it should.  You meet someone online during business or social networking, invite them to play golf, set up a round of business golf and then get to know that person and their business better.  From that comes either a personal contact or a business relationship.  The results came from being interactive in the online community which is the crust of using social media.  The use of business golf in the mix is to validate the relationship or contact.

This mixing of golf and social media can also be reversed.  You meet someone on the golf course and ask them to join you online in a business/social networking group.  This provides a valid connection for you unlike all the mystery people populating the internet and the entire online community benefits.

For many in the Golf professions of teaching or managing golf, the mix of golf and social media is almost a necessity in today’s economy.  Either direction of using the golf and social media or the social media and the golf works best for these golf professionals.

Where Does Golf and Social Media Mix?

I thought you would never ask.  The prime example of golf and social media mixing is the Business Golf Country Club.   The BGCC naturally by design mixes golf with social media.  If need be the social media used by a member can then mix with golf since the community is populated with only golfers.

You could thrown in the ClamBake Cafe as another way of mixing social media with golf.  Using the video media in the form of a casual chat about the business a person does is very powerful.

Golf, Business Golf, Social Media and Internet Marketing all can be mixed if their is an interest in mixing them.  I would encourage mixing them since the results are very productive and Fun.

Let me know how I can help.
